I believe that words create meaning, motivation, and are our most inexhaustible resource to navigate the world and changes we face.
Well met! I'm Phoenix Mussalow, I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from East Tennessee State University and is currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Ohio. My work history includes inpatient rehabilitation, college, community, and private practice settings. I have been working alongside folks since 2013 and I like to think the best part of this field is the continued growth and development to better serve folks.
I utilize an individualized approach via Humanistic Counseling to integrate narrative, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and trauma informed care to assist clients in writing their stories. I work with folks navigating LGBTQ2S+ community needs, sexual/affectional identity, gender expansive affirming care, transition, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and others through individual and polycule/couples counseling.
I believe through shifting perspectives and reframing narratives we can best learn and practice ways to be our ideal selves. Allow me to help you discover the ways to exhibit your unique way of showing up in your story, and reflect on your character development. If we work together, I hope to give you support and time for collaborative thought which will make an impact in the way you read and write your own story.
